Clickteam
Clickteam is a group of programmers responsible for the Klik series of games, including Klik & Play (KNP), The Games Factory (TGF) and Multimedia Fusion (MMF), the last two of which are popular choices for game development on Mario Fan Games Galaxy. On the 30th June 2006, Multimedia Fusion 2 and The Games Factory 2 were released. You may find these tools as well as others at their site in the External Links section and may also download some tutorials for them at MFGG's site.
Trial versions are available through clickteam's website, but after the trial period a purchase is required to continue making games. The trial versions also do not allow stand-alone or Internet applications to be created; the games are unplayable unless the player owns the product used to make the game, or you have a friend compile it for you.
The games, libs, and how-to's on the main site are primarily made with either of these programs.
