Cheerwine Deluxe Dinero is a joke game that VinnyVideo made for April Fool's Day in 2018. Unlike Ultimate Pointless Quiz Showdown, however, Vinny didn't post it on MFGG until 2020.
Cheerwine Deluxe Dinero is a parody of newer business models for commercial video games, especially loot boxes and gacha. In Cheerwine Deluxe Dinero, players can summon different "heroes" - characters who have appeared in previous Cheerwine Deluxe games - and "buy" loot boxes full of items featured in previous Cheerwine Deluxe games. Other than summoning heroes, buying loot boxes, and viewing lists of characters, however, there is no actual gameplay, so all you can do with the characters you've obtained is look at them on the menu.
Unlike real games that use mechanics such as loot boxes and gacha, Cheerwine Deluxe Dinero does not use real money. Instead, players receive 10 "DeluxeBucks" at the beginning of the game, and they can earn an additional DeluxeBuck every day they play. Because Vinny forgot to un-comment the script that loads save files, however, the save system isn't fully functional. This means you'll lose your "progress" if you close the game. Since this game is a gag rather than a serious project, this bug might never get fixed.
Trivia
- Not all of the "heroes" in this game are particularly heroic - in fact, some of them are downright villainous.
- Some notable characters from previous Cheerwine Deluxe games are missing, like Lucca from Chrono Trigger, Frank Sinatra, and Will Smith.
- As with previous Cheerwine Deluxe names, players choose a username at the beginning of the game, and the default username is a variant of the current name of the U.S. President (in this case, "Tonald Drump" instead of "Oarack Bbama"). Once again, this username serves no purpose whatsoever.
