Canned

Canned is a term used for a game that has definitively been confirmed to no longer be in production. In fact, this is one of the most common outcomes in fangaming; many more projects will be canned than completed. The reasons for canning a game are numerous, but the usual reasons are: loss of interest, insufficient resources or skill, and lack of time.
