Although 123James has never been in the center of MFGG’s population chart he managed to claim quite a bit of fame in the days. In his early life on the forum he was pretty modest though not as talented in the art department. He was also a lot more stupid. He was eventualy able to gain quite a bit of drawing skills and became more familiar to satire and sarcasm. However, even to this day he can still be a bit slow and arrogant at times. He may also jump the gun and rant when he finds something wrong with what someone else has said without reading the whole post causing him to say stuff he’ll regret in a matter of moments. When this happens all he feels he can do is apologize shake it off. This has become more rare because he does not post as often any more.

Forum Persona, Old and Current

From orange skin to an orange shirt.

123James’s first character was created at school out of boredom. It was simply a plain looking kid with yellow hair, a red t-shirt, blue pants, and brown shoes. His only somewhat unique traits were his black, soulless, narrow eyes, large nose, and orange skin.

Some time later he redesigned his character giving him a strolling backpack (also called a stroller pack) and light-up helmet. As well as those auditions he changed the clothes giving him an orange, long sleeved shirt with a viridian stripe around the neck, bottom, and sleeves, darker blue colored pants with more detail added, and white shoes with a gray stripe that parts in the back, laces, and tan, rubber souls on the bottom. His skin color and hair style changed as well. The only things that were not changed were his nose and eyes. Later on the idea of his "stroller pack" was ditched in favor of a regular backpack which he calls a Travel Pack. His shirt was also given a turtle neck.

His New Character's Back-Story

His new character is an explorer who writes stories about his adventures for a living. His books have become very popular at his home town and he has managed to make enough money to travel to more distant lands, countries, and even planets and alternate universes (with the help of a professor he knows). While there he likes to take pictures, meet new people, and write notes about the place so he could possibly add it to his next book. Though he can be a bit timid and clumsy at times, he's gotten used to having to end his vacations early so he can dive into a new mission and tough it out (most of the time he doesn’t have a choice).

Although 123James does not Role Play in forums, he has used this back story for his character in some of the comics he's made.

Biographical History

When he was first introduced to the World Wide Web the first Internet community he joined was MamaMedia.com. Although he didn't communicate with anyone as much as he just customized his account and played the games. But he did not have Java at the time nor did he understand how to install it so his selection of games to play was limited. He eventually stopped going there but to this day he still uses the same user name where ever he goes. He played a fan game for the first time after he discovered some Kirby fan games at Kirby's Rainbow Resort. Anxious to play more fan games he then decided to search for some Kirby fan games on Yahoo but was not very successful. He then tried searching for some Mario fan games, which led him to MFGG. He didn't register to MFGG's forums at the time he found the place because he was still too young and scared of being hunted down by an online predator. But he did check for updates on the main site often.

Some time later MFGG got shut down leaving him with no website in particular for him to go to. He eventually registered to Rainbow Resort's forums out of boredom where he debuted his first persona (seen above). He didn't really have any reputation there except maybe with a few members. Eventually he found out that MFGG was put back on-line and this time he decided to register to its forums. After he registered to MFGG he started going to Rainbow Resort less and less until he stopped going all together. When he first came to MFGG he didn't give a good first impression with his bad grammar/spelling, somewhat n00bish behavior, former acquaintanceship with thewolf, and infamous MSPaint pic "Super Sward". As time passed, his art and grammar skills improved and he earned more respect from the other MFGGes.

James’ infamous MSPaint pic, “Super Sward”.

Years later, around the time MFGG's forum had split and Minus World was created he began to lose interest in both forums. Now days seeing him on either would be nothing short of a miracle.

Artistic Abilities

James has become a talented artist, and is one of the few members who develops better skills in short times periods. He usually likes to draw in his own cartoon style though when drawing fan art using a reference pic he seems to take some traits from the pics original style and mixes it with his. He has developed a number of characters which he uses in his own web comic series, A2O Stories (which can be found at a2ostoriescom). Updates on his site do not occur on a regular schedule. He has said himself that the first inspiration he got for making a series came from the web-toon, Geoweasel; however the show was still just a sprite comic at the time and he is not as obsessed with it as much as he used to be. He has since been inspired by other shows and series he enjoyed as a kid as well including Peanuts, Calvin and Hobbies, Fairly Odd Parents, Hay Arnold, the characters, environments, and simplicity of the Mario games, and other shows and games.

He was known to have made topics in the PPP/CCC during the 2.0 era where he would offer to draw various members in the topic in different ways. He'd try to occasionally do something a little differently in some topics weather it be his member selecting method or the technique he'd use to draw them. Every now and then he would even sketch one member on paper and scan it. In most cases he didn't put a lot of effort into the drawings he makes in those topics.

On May 6, 2006 he joined deviantART after being complimented on his works in General Friendly-ness by a hand full of other MFGGers. Since then he has submitted sketchbook drawings, three panel comics, pictures of his original characters, and fan art there as well as very few bits from the story book he wrote for his senior project, Trouble at the Mall. Around the beginning of the year 2010 he also started his website a2ostories.com for his original work, namly his comics (as mentioned earlier).

Trivia

A day in the life
  • He is one of the few members who managed to earn an Ultra Happy Heart Badge on the forums during it's 2.0 era.
  • He still has a habit of misspelling words often so he's a big fan of spellcheck.
  • He is minor near sighted, meaning he only needs to wear glasses for driving and reading small text from afar.
  • His online alias goes by a different name (Joseph) and lives a new life of his own in his webcomic series, A2O Stories.
  • If you click on the image to the right of the phrase “It's Signature, Folks!!” in 123James' signature you will be taken to a random website (in most cases, a video on YouTube). When he changes the image, this indicates that he’s now linking to a different site.
