The Green Man and the Saudi Arabian Pigeon Race to the Checkered Flag in a Thrilling Contest is VinnyVideo's entry for the third Joke Game Contest, which had a theme of impossible games. The concept is based on the infamous "Marathon Man" sequence from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The player controls Luigi, who engages in a zany footrace with a Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time-styled Pidgit. No matter what the player does, the Pidgit will always win the race, and the player is "rewarded" for losing with a sarcastic error message, followed by the appearance of an endless quantity of Barney dolls.

The race itself is crazy in its own right. Hitting certain objects makes the screen flip upside down, and the level passes through many exceedingly random photos depicting mailboxes, a woman doing yoga at the beach, assorted cheeseburgers, the famous Jacksonville trial lawyer Eddie Farah, and other things.

VinnyVideo began and finished this "simple" game in a period well under 24 hours.

Reception

The Green Man and the Saudi Arabian Pigeon Race to the Checkered Flag in a Thrilling Contest didn't get a huge amount of attention, since it was released on MFGG for the third Joke Game Contest, by which time the competitions were quickly garnering less interest than earlier ones. The game lost to MegaTailzChao's entry, which won unanimously over the other three entries. However, VinnyVideo's game did earn some "positive" reactions - at least more positive than his earlier joke games like Toad's Idiotic Adventure.
