Super Luigi Paradise is one of the numerous Ultramario Engine-based platform games Hello produced in early 2007. While similar to Super Mario Bros.: Bowser's Terror and other similar games from Hello's ultra-prolific period, Super Luigi Paradise is one of the few Hello games (others being Super Luigi and the Golden Shrooms and Escape the Ghost House) to include Luigi in a starring role. The game has eight levels, similar to Super Mario Bros.: Adventure Journey, arranged in the standard hills-cave-sky-fortress opening, along with a night level and a pipe level in the second half of the game. Water and waterfalls (and bouncing Cheep-Cheeps) play a significant part in every level except for the two fortresses, even though no level is fully underwater.

Story

Super Luigi Paradise has absolutely nothing in the way of a story. When you complete the final level, nothing actually happens. The game lacks even a final boss.

Music

Like Super Mario Bros.: Mushroom Journey, this game uses Yoshi's Island music in every level. It's unclear why Hello used MP3s, since there are MIDIs available for this game that sound virtually identical and would have kept the file size far lower.

Reception

Super Luigi Paradise has been reviewed twice, with an average rating of 8.0. This game is often considered to be among Hello's best early works. Many liked the use of Luigi and even his green fireball power. The most common complaint was the wrong flagpole animations for Super or Fiery Luigi. The lack of a save feature isn't a big issue since the game is pretty short. A few other players complained about the odd resolution (used in Super Mario Bros.: Kill Bowser) and the fact that the second level is probably the game's hardest.

Remake

In 2009, Hello remade the game as part of Hello Winter Mario Games 2009 using the Hello Engine 4 and icy graphics.
