Psycutlery (originally named as Sporklops) is an indie game that is currently developed by Thunder Dragon (with music composed primarily by DJ Yoshiman, with others contributing), who goes under the name of Eyes in Everything. It stars Lillian the Alien, who teams up with a spork controlled telepathically. The spork can be used to attack objects, or even stick to some of them, which can then be thrown or consumed by Lillian the Alien. Lillian the Alien can grab certain items that temporarily allow her to use special powers. The gameplay overall takes inspiration from Yoshi's Island, the Kirby series, and even Psycho Waluigi.

While Psycho Waluigi used only a keyboard (and a mouse for a little bit) for input, Psycutlery primarily relies on a gamepad for optimal gameplay experience (though still offers keyboard control), with the intention to port out to consoles with this in mind.

A tech demo was released on January 7, 2017. This demo was made in Clickteam Fusion 2.5. Some time after, Luke (Thunder Dragon) realized that the game could improve vastly, and he could overcome some obstacles set in place by the creation tool if he was to go with a different engine. He spent roughly a year to focus on learning Unity, and a few months after, had a fully working base game re-worked from the Fusion engine. The cost of extra time paid off, as the game is extremely superior on a technical, visual and fidelity level unable to be given before.

As of August 2019, the game has reached a self-labeled production finish of 25%.

Reception

Psycutlery has overall received a positive reception, even during when not even a demo was released, with praise going especially to the game design. On MFGG Awards 2015, Psycutlery was nominated for Most Anticipated, while it won Best Non-Mario Game. Psycutlery won Most Anticipated on MFGG Awards 2016.
