Escape the Ghost House is a minigame made by Hello for Minigame Competition #52, which had a Boo Mansion theme. In this game, Luigi has been trapped inside a haunted house and seeks to find his way out. However, players only have a limited amount of time to complete the game, and touching a Boo or falling off the screen costs time. Most of the gameplay involves collecting keys to open locked doors or hitting switches to form temporary bridges. At the end of the game, players receive a score based on how much time is remaining on the clock. Music comes from OC Remix and uses the Ogg Vorbis format, as Hello always does nowadays.
Reception
Escape the Ghost House earned second place in the minigame competition. Its only review gave the game a rating of 6/10. The puzzle-intensive nature of the game earned praise from many players, while others criticized its lack of originality and Luigi's inability to jump.
